What a rotten day. Mimi's had a stomach flu all day. I feel so bad for her. No relief for about 20 hours, although it may be subsiding now. On top of that our freakin' toilette broke in the middle of the night last night. I had to replace the intake pipe and the fill valve. Once they were fixed, the flapper started leaking. What timing! So I had to make a second trip into town (another 30-mile round trip) to get a flapper. Luckily I got two, because the first one didn't fit.
Naturally the instructions for the valve installation were written in Elbonia or somewhere. God, tech writers need to be publicly caned.
What ever plumbers charge, they're worth it!
But Granma to the rescue. I called her to say hi, and she told me to go out and get pepto bismol. Look like "Dr. Gussie" was right. Thanks, Grandma.
